Delaware Water Gap

 

The Delaware Water Gap was our last stop on our New England fall colors road trip. We did not get to explore this entire park, but we went on several trails and saw some waterfalls and lots of fall colors. We went in mid-October of 2024, the weather was beautiful and the trails were well maintained. There were several other hikers, but it didn’t feel overly crowded when we were there.

Kinzua Bridge State Park

 

The Kinzua Bridge, once one of the tallest and longest railroad viaducts in the world, was originally built in 1882 in northwestern Pennsylvania. A tornado destroyed much of the structure in 2003, but the remaining portion has been transformed into the Kinzua Sky Walk — a pedestrian bridge with a glass viewing platform that offers breathtaking views of the valley below.
